Bring your cake to the Taihape Community Development Trust Stall  before 2.00 pm on Gumboot Day

Entries will be judged on presentation & taste.

Judging from 2.00pm onwards and prize giving at 5.30pm
Collect 'the crumbs of your entry' at 6.00pm.

Need a recipe???

If you need a recipe this is a little ripper:

• 2 eggs
• 1 and 3/4 cups of sugar
• 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup milk
• 1 tea spoon lemon juice
• 1 tea spoon vanilla essence
• 2 tea spoons baking soda
• 1 tea spoon baking powder
• 1 cup strong coffee

Mix all ingredients together (in a food mixer) for 3 -4 minutes, bake for 1 hour at 180 degrees. It yields 1 x 10 inch tin. The mix looks very wet, but do not alter! It works.
